Rivanna Trails

Saturday Work Parties

Trail maintenance work parties occur the second Saturday of each month from 9:00-11:30. Everyone is welcome, and we have tasks suitable for all ages and skill levels. We send an email before each month's work party - if you're not already a member, sign up for our email list.

Our gathering point is at the RTF equipment shed at 2030 Morton Drive,  just past Bodo's and behind the English Inn, next to the Meadowcreek Gardens (see map below). We usually meet at the tool shed at 8:45 and carpool to the work site, but if you want to go directly to the project or expect to be late, contact the work party leader.

Please wear clothes suitable for getting dirty in a forest environment, and bring work gloves. If you bring your own tools, such as hand clippers, long-handled loppers, or pruning or bow saw, be sure to label them with your name. We also have tools and gloves you can borrow.

If you are coming as part of a group, want to go directly to the work site, or have other questions, please email us so we can be adequately prepared to keep everyone busy and equipped with tools.

Details about each month's work party are on the Events page.
