Leigh and Jim Surdukowski, who have adopted the Belvedere section of the River North trails, recently completed two bridges and a short re-route to avoid a couple hazardous stream crossings. RTF purchased the necessary materials, while Leigh and Jim donated their time and labor.
Trail adopters like the Surdukowskis are the eyes and ears of the Rivanna Trail, and invaluable in keeping the Trails open. Everyone who enjoys the trails can play a part, and RTF invites other trail users to let us know where bridges or other improvements might be needed - and if you'd like to volunteer your time and labor, contact the RTF to see if we may be able to help or provide acknowledgement for donated materials.
